3D design/edit software?
#1
I've been getting a lot of experience on printing other people's STL files, but I'm a bit curious about designing my own 3D object to print out. I have Meshmixer, but I haven't messed with it much. I have a Windows 10 machine connected to my printer. What do any of you use to design or edit 3D objects?

Thanks!

David

Fusion 360. It's free if you're using it as a hobby.

Adafruit has several videos on using it.

Here's a playlist:

Yeah, love Fusion 360. I designed the first part of R2 in 123d design until it was pulled then moved onto Fusion. I share many of the R2 designs in Fusion with my dedicated Patreon so tweak, moss etc can be added or details customised.

For simple stuff, I use tinkercad.com. Also by Autodesk, the same people who make Fusion 360. Great tool for basic designs and getting familiar with working in 3D.

I use Blender 3D. Maybe not the best, but I've been using it for years, so it's easier for me...
