Finally had some time to do some painting
Colin my Droid has just been sitting around unpainted all year.  So finally had some time this week to fix that and get the sandpaper out again and spend hour after hour after hour sanding...
What joy. Actually really nice as its been great weather this week and sitting in the garden listening to the radio and drinking tea and sanding and adding undercoat is not so bad!

This is using Rustoleum "Heirloom" white which is too creamy I think [I got the paint cheap in bulk so can't complain].   I have ordered the basic "white" so will use that as a final topcoat.

The topcoat paint is certainly filling in a lot of the imperfections.

I think painting is the hardest part of the whole project.

Totally agree. I have taken everything apart and bits everywhere and it keeps raining. I am actually weirdly enjoying the sanding of the bits and pieces though, its quite therapeutic. Covered in dust now though and its rained all afternoon and the 10-mins of painting I managed earlier wont dry.
