Metal Casting 3D printed Parts
#1
Wow, I just got this advertisement from LulzBot spammed into my YouTube video.  Honestly, it’s one of the first ads I actually watched.  It got me thinking of the possibilities of printing interesting metal droid details.

That’s awesome, but I’m pretty sure the wife won’t let me put a foundry in the garage...

There are two statements that come to mind.

What the Wife doesn't know won't hurt her.
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission :-)

The only thing I would add is, Metal parts weigh more than plastic parts, even my PLA MK2 has a far amount of mass to it, but I can see the advantages for some of the more fragile parts being made of metal.

I am was thinking things like holo projectors, coin slots, and such. My droid already weighs a lot.
