Drive Chain Conversion
#1
Its been a while since i have posted, but i have been very busy converting Mr Baddeleys printed drives from belt driven to Chain driven.
This required a bit of thinking and some Luck haha Big Grin .
i purchased all the parts of Vex Robotics and will include screenshots of the order sheet with the SKU numbers.

I did this due to the belts slipping on my printed version. I was using the modified single belt design, and just had no luck getting it working no matter what i tried.
I was very impressed that the vex drive wheel sprockets bolting holes lined up perfectly with the printed drive wheel.
I used a half print of the drive wheel gear as a spacer to line up the drive wheel sprocket with the motor sprocket and another bearing to finish it up nicely against the side of the drive wall.

I will post some pics to demonstrate and also a video showing the movement. As i have been extremely short on time, working 2 jobs and trying to get this driving by XMAS i will post more videos soon of R2 driving in his more complete stage.
