Dome - Assembly Started
The Dome assembly has officially started.  After a bit of cleanup, I’ve started glueing the pieces together.

My parts are printed in PETG and the little tabs didn’t just snap off.  A #17 X-Acto blade made easy work of them.  These flat blades come in handy.

I’m using Gorilla Super Glue Gel to bond the parts.  As a test, I guled two scrap PETG parts together and tried to snap them apart with pliers. The parts did not break at the bond, so I’m pretty happy with the strength of the glue.  With the Gel I only had about 10 sec to fiddle with the joints before the glue really started grabbing but I got through it without any issue.  I might pick up some epoxy and test it with PETG; This should be a little more forgiving for parts that need additional time during assembly.

Super glue with a dusting of baking soda makes a nice filler and accelerates drying time.  The result sands down nicely too.
