Looking good! What are you doing for the mechanism to move the scanner and periscope?

To lift the components I'm trying a couple of different solutions. One with geared mechanism and one using scissor lift. I will upload the best solution when ready (probably the geared one).

For now I am on a forced pause: I'm waiting for the new printer to arrive because my old one is completely broken...

Do some sanding a filling that will keep you busy or work on the light system.

Just a thought.

The pause is of course just for the printing. I am working hard on the dome to get it smooth and nice!  Smile

For now I finished with filler and just put the black primer on the parts that should get an alluminum color. I usually wait a couple of days to let the paint dry well, before giving a coat with a different type of paint (I mean from filler to primer, from primer to final paint and from final paint to the protective coating). Few hours are enough if it's the same paint.

Soon I will post my result in my dome build log!
