BB-8 Help
#1
Hi guys well you know I have finished my r2d2 and now looking for another project.

I have looked and joined the BB8 builders group but after looking at the files and options is all seems very confusing.

I want to build a static model with maybe some LEDS but what is the best option with internal and external options and any hints or issues I may come across.

I have two i3 plus printers with 200x200x180 builds so hopefully they should be big enough.

Thanks
Phill

Im about to start a BB8 build and have all the files

He is only a simple little thing but a lot of fun from what I have seen and very simple build

The designer is in the UK and even released a stand and graphics template for £2 so really well worth having

If you need any help with him shoot me a PM

For a full size you need to use xrobots files

Files on the BB-8 builders club is all you need.

First thing is to figure out what type of body you want. If you're only going for a static model, then I would recommend getting a California plastics 20" globe and either paint it or grab the pdf files and have a local shop print them for you.

If not you can print Carries internal frame or buy his injected molded pieces. You print the outer shell and attach via screws. The Head you can either go with a printed or Masteryoda's injected molded dome.

I have a working 1:1 based on Ed's frame but changing over the head to the lighter injected molded version as it does not like to stay on when rolling (printed version).

I'm over there under the same username as here, and the Mouse droid builders forums as well.

I have a problem with star wars droids LOL....
