R2D2 painting
Sanding, Painting and prep-work coming along very slowly.  Just waiting for better weather so I can paint outside more.

And here, showing the mods to the lower dome ring.   I took it all apart and and stretched it out so the lasy susan was loose within the ring.  No more jamming of the dome.  I filled the gaps using my 3D pen. [see below]

Dome work and "Welding" of the dome parts togeather.

Finally got the undercoat on the dome and then its black silk coat. I can now see lots of blemishes and joins in the dome so its back to sanding and prepping parts again. Oh well.

Once I am happy with this coat [hopefully at some point!], then its a silver coat and the final top coat in a shade of red, I think.

Here's Dobby keeping an eye on it all.

And the door panels are now prepped and painted and getting sanded down.

I have decided to reprint most of the rear door sections as first attempts were really warped.

I have sanded and filled and sanded and undercoated the legs/feet so might now try black and then silver coats on these.
